The movie follows the tragic romance between the ancient Greek poet Sappho and the siren goddess Britomartis. Sappho meets Britomartis, a nymph, by the sea. Legends say that Sappho jumped into the ocean out of heartbreak, while Britomartis plunged into the water to escape a man's pursuit. Together, they explore the bittersweet emotions of desire.
