Emily and Oliver, a liberal, middle-class couple from the South of England, relocate up North for a cheaper life amid the 2012 recession, aiming to raise their children among what they call "real people." Eager to foster neighborliness amid class divisions or their absence, they invite their new neighbors over for drinks.
