Winter Meeting

A repressed poet and an embittered war hero help each other cope with their problems. Disenchanted Manhattan spinster Susan Grieve and disillusioned naval hero Slick Novak (Jim Davis) are inexorably drawn to each other, and the two lost souls fall in love while discussing their inner demons. Ultimately, after a visit to Susan's Connecticut farm, both Susan and Slick decide to go their separate ways, though both have grown and matured during their brief affair.
