During WW2, the Allies use Navajo language to decode top secret messages while the Japanese desperately try to kidnap a Navajo soldier in effort to break the code. The military is aware of the danger and assigns a Marine bodyguard for each Navajo soldier. Soon, one such soldier (Adam Beach) and his bodyguard (Nicolas Cage) find themselves in danger.
