WHITE WATER SUMMER is a 'rite of passage' adventure in which an extremely bright boy from New York (Sean Astin) finds himself setting out reluctantly for the Sierra wilderness with a group of boys. Astin is pitted against the forces of nature and against his overzealous counselor (Kevin Bacon) who teaches him the ways of the wilderness.
