Virasat Ki Jung

Muthappa runs away from his hometown because of his brother. Years later he returns to find his brother has ruined his family and decides to take revenge. As Sivakasi alias Muthappa (Vijay), a welder in Chennai, he falls in love with Hema (Asin) whose family accepts him. After lashing out at her brothers he slaps yelling Hema and reveals his past in Nattarasan Kottai where his brother Udayappa (Prakash Raj) tells him to get fireworks for Deepavali festival which he lights causing a woman to burn atop bursting firecracker as she begs for her life and is carted to the hospital.
