In the city of Kharkiv, Viktor resides with his mother, navigating life after losing his hearing at the age of five. His passion for visual expression manifests in striking black-and-white photographs that capture the essence of his surroundings. Deeply shaped by the teachings of his late father, who instilled in him a "military spirit," and inspired by Miyamoto Musashi's The Strategy of the Samurai, Viktor embraces the ideals of a noble warrior. Despite his dedication, his disability hinders his ability to secure employment, and the outbreak of war intensifies his frustration at being unable to protect his homeland. His determination leads him to join the local army as a volunteer photographer, where his lens reveals profound and humane images of desperate civilians and frontline fighters, offering a raw and essential perspective on the conflict.
