A 12-year-olf boy in the 1980s discovers that he can use a VHS camera to capture material from television. This inspires him to make a bizarre kind of film. However, little do his parents know that he is recording over a videotape of their wedding day. He proceeds to select a wacky array of TV clips from late-night programming which gets intermixed with his parents' wedding footage. It causes the boy to launch on a journey of self-discovery and a better understanding of what makes his parents click.
