A neuroscience researcher develops a rare form of melophobia after receiving an unsolicited portable media player and experiencing musical Stendhal syndrome. Witnessing the strange behavioral changes in her colleagues upon repeated exposure to the same piece of music, she flees to find refuge from the omnipresent sounds of music in her environment and an increasingly frightening world.
