Trust

Pietro (Elio Germano) is a respected teacher, and Teresa (Federica Rosellini) is his talented and gifted student. Their relationship is both forbidden and tumultuous. After one argument, Teresa proposes that they each reveal a secret so disgraceful or startling that, if exposed, it could ruin their lives. As time goes on, Pietro's reputation as a writer flourishes, and his family enjoys a comfortable middle-class life. However, he is constantly troubled by the fear that Teresa might return one day and destroy his world with the secret she holds.
