A classic movie with Academy Award Winner actress Anna Magnani. Rome, 1943: the capital is occupied by the Germans, and Lieutenant Stelvio Parmegiani, now a deserter, takes refuge in a hotel where he meets the nurse Jolanda Morigi. She offers to host him at home and, in short time, they fall in love. One night, they will join other displaced people in a farmhouse, but no place seems really safe.
