The White King

Based on the novel of the same name by Gyorgy Dragoman, focuses on a 12-year-old boy named Djata living in a totalitarian regime modeled after Dragoman's own experiences growing up in Soviet Hungary. When his father is unceremoniously arrested by the government, he and his mother must contend with a town that has been coerced into viewing them as traitors, while desperately seeking a way to free his father.
