The Rewrite

When a washed-up former Golden Globe winning screenwriter is forced to leave Hollywood for a less glamorous position teaching writing classes at a state university in upstate New York, the second chance he's hoping for throws him some unexpected curves. His lackadaisical attitude towards his new position changes when he begins to fall in love with one of his students, a single mother working two jobs to earn her degree.
