    A kindhearted but lonely projectionist spends most of his time in the darkened booth of an old theater, where he is free to inhabit his alter ego, Captain Flash. Though the Captain always saves the girl in peril from a dastardly villain, in real life the projectionist is constantly berated by his ogre of a manager and finds happiness in too much candy and a rich fantasy life.
