The Pride of the Yankees

A biopic about the celebrated baseball player Lou Gehrig. Born before World War One and the son of immigrant parents, Gehrig showed an interest in becoming a sporting champion from an early age. He went to college to study as an engineer, where his athletic career really took off. He signed to the New York Yankees where he became known as "The Iron Man of Baseball" for never missing a game. But tragedy struck when he develops a fatal neurological disease which was consequently named after him.
