A PBS radio show storyteller named Gabriel Noone receives a book manuscript for which he's supposed to write a blurb. When he reads the book, he discovers that it's a memoir written by an HIV-positive 13-year-old incest survivor, Pete Lomax. Not too long after beginning an intense phone friendship with Pete, Gabriel starts to wonder whether the boy is actually real
