Seven years in the making and filmed on three continents, as well as locally at the Rhinebeck Aerodrome, this documentary tells the dramatic story of a group of Yale students motivated by patriotism, courage, and honor, joined the Navy at the outbreak of World War I, learned to fly, and went on to battle deadly U-boats over the Atlantic. They were the first to fly for America in WW1, some of them making the ultimate sacrifice.
