The Ice Follies of 1939

Larry (James Stewart) and Mary (Joan Crawford) face a crumbling marriage when she lands a Hollywood film contract while he takes work in the East. As Larry struggles to secure skating engagements, Mary skyrockets to stardom. Desperate to reunite, she offers to abandon her career, but a compassionate producer intervenes, securing Larry a role as a film producer to keep them together. Their story culminates in a dazzling 17-minute Technicolor Cinderella fantasy performed by the International Ice Follies.
