The Great Adventure

Set during the American Gold Rush era, this is an unforgettable tale of an orphaned boy and his wild dog who must battle against the Yukon wilderness and human greed to help save a frontier town. After the death of his father, Jim (Fred Romer) is left in the wilderness alone trying to reach civilization. After rescuing a wild dog from a hunter's trap, the two form an eternal bond of friendship. Eventually they reach Dawson City, but find out that the town is run by gold-hungry William Bates (Jack Palance), who has bullied the townspeople out of their gold and dignity. With the help of beautiful, Miss Sonya (Joan Collins), they devise a plan to stop Bates and to restore law and order to the frontier.
