A shocking portrait of one of the most notorious rock groups of all time, The Filth and the Fury is a compelling and insightful look into the world of the Sex Pistols. The film explores the band's rise from the back streets of 1970s London to its ultimate implosion while on a disastrous 1978 tour in America. The Sex Pistols and their controversial manager, Malcolm McLaren, first came to prominence in 1975. After gaining fame for a controversial 1976 television appearance, the band fired their bassist in favor of new member Sid Vicious.
