I really enjoyed this movie myself. I liked how it revolved around a bunch of emojis and apps, which was well portrayed, although Just Dance had nothing to do with the games. The film is packed with emotions and diverse characters, making it a fun watch. Despite being a box office flop, I absolutely adore it. I happened to like many movies from 2017, and this one is a great choice for kids who are into emojis.

This was sooo dumb! The people making movies don't have kids obviously. This is an ad for twitter and instagram and stuff. Paying to see ads is stupid.

Emojis are really popular on phones, and now there's an emoji movie.

    ttmb30@  14.4.2018 age: 1-12 370 reviews

Nothing special about this animated movie. Perhaps in 15 years, it might be amusing when we're light years away from our current technology, but for now, I can only describe it as "meh"! Haha.

Good to watch with kids for a family movie but nothing new for adults.

    7
    ilovemovies@  23.2.2018 age: 36-49 59 reviews

A decent movie but not particularly outstanding. I saw it in theaters and the kids weren't really reacting much. It was pretty underwhelming!

    ron_@  21.2.2018 age: 26-35 85 reviews

A decent film for children. My son thought it was funny, but I found it to be just average.

    pat.dormoy@  20.2.2018 age: 36-49 125 reviews

Pretty cute. I was a bit worried, but it's actually quite enjoyable to watch. Kids really love it.

    jhjm1905@  17.2.2018 age: 26-35 7 reviews

Hilarious film! I caught it at the drive-in and gave it another watch on Blu-ray. You'll never look at your text emojis the same way again ;-).

    cline@  16.2.2018 age: 36-49 13 reviews

It's a good movie to watch if you have kids with you. Otherwise, it might seem a bit odd.

    m.fuller@  7.2.2018 age: 36-49 16 reviews

I didn't like this movie at all. The characters are uninteresting and the plot is nonexistent. However, my kids seemed to really enjoy it.

    Not bad but not good.

    jclahane@  30.1.2018 age: 26-35 87 reviews

Fun little movie for kids & adults alike. A funny little mocking of the very current emoji culture.

    7
    mtlfanboy@  30.1.2018 age: 18-25 14 reviews

    Entertaining and totally relevant.

    Good.
    Not super good.

    nitram@  20.1.2018 age: 36-49 95 reviews

This animation did not deserve to have all that bad reviews. Ignore film critics and just see it as it is. There was meaning to it and of course a storyline to back it up.

Great film. It had me laughing so much.

Took my granddaughter who is four and she loved the colourful characters not that she understood but it was vivid.

    Pointless and really tasteless.

I really wanted to see this movie, I thought it would be great but then I read all the bad reviews and I didn't want to see it so when I finally watched it, I absolutely loved it.
Now the only thing on my mind is why does everyone hate it.
I especially loved the cast, T. J. Miller, James Corden and Anna Faris.
I can't imagine how the movie would have been if the cast was different.
I loved the special cameo appearances by Christina Aguilera and Rachael Ray.
I 100% recommend this, it's a great comedy for all ages.

A great movie for the whole family,
although it's better suited for younger kids. My teen didn't enjoy it quite as much.

    une.mere.et.ses.2.filles@  4.12.2017 age: 36-49 31 reviews

Not a great movie. Has it's funny moments but comes across as a 90 minutes iphone add. Feels forced and ridiculous for story. I'd be surprised if even kids would give it more than 8 stars, and they're kids.

    teeny@  1.12.2017 age: 26-35 27 reviews

A good children's move overall, my 10 yr old and 5 yr old loved it.

    bibie@  25.11.2017 age: 50+ 50 reviews

This movie is basically just one big advertisement, and not a very good one at that. The Lego Movie was also an ad, but at least it was well-made and entertaining. The Emoji Movie, on the other hand, completely falls flat. My 3 and 5 year old kids enjoyed it to some extent, but even they lost interest pretty quickly.

    alias.g@  18.11.2017 age: 36-49 32 reviews

It was alright, but I've seen better kids' movies. The poop emoji was overused and the Top la character was way too exaggerated.
