The Easy Life

In the warm glow of a Roman summer, Roberto Mariani (Jean-Louis Trintignant), a reserved young scholar, crosses paths with Bruno Cortona (Vittorio Gassman), a charismatic middle-aged man behind the wheel of a sleek convertible. Their unexpected encounter sparks a casual drink, which soon evolves into a spontaneous road trip beyond the city's borders. As the journey unfolds, the contrasting duo uncovers layers of each other's lives, sharing personal revelations and making stops to visit family, including Bruno's striking daughter, Lilly (Catherine Spaak), during their carefree escapade through the Italian countryside.
