The Comedians

A cynical British playboy named Brown arrives by boat in Port au Prince, Haiti, to attend to a hotel he recently inherited. Disembarking along with Brown are Major Jones, a British businessman and war hero with questionable morals; and Mr. Smith, an American presidential candidate. Brown, Jones and Smith become entangled in a nexus of war and political intrigue as Haiti collapses into chaos under the murderous rule of "Papa Doc" François Duvalier.
