The Brigand

After King Lorenzo (Anthony Dexter) is seriously wounded in an assassination attempt, his advisers recruit Carlos Delargo (also Dexter), a down-on-his-luck former soldier who closely resembles the king, to impersonate him while he recovers. Delargo revels in the royal lifestyle, especially his growing romance with the king's fiancée, Teresa (Jody Lawrance). But when Prince Ramón (Anthony Quinn), the king's bitter cousin, discovers the deception, he plots to claim the throne for himself.
