Woefully underknown and the film most ripe in this series for rediscovery, is this LA private eye post '60s come down. A precursor to Inherent Vice starring Richard Dreyfuss as Moses Wine, a former Berkeley campus activist turned gumshoe, who is put on the case of looking for a onetime radical comrade and has to wade into the muck of California's gubernatorial race.
