When civilization is destroyed by nuclear warfare, what is left of the Earth is contaminated by radiation. Fortunately, twelve space stations with human life survived. Ninety-seven years later, the space stations have combined into one, known as the Ark. On this space station, crimes are punishable by death unless you are under the age of 18. Although it may not yet be habitable, the Ark has decided to transport the 100 juvenile offenders, held in detention and taking up space on the ship, to Earth. During the transport, the juveniles are shown a video and told about a safe haven that was stocked piled with supplies prior to the nuclear explosion. Before contact is lost with the Ark, the juveniles are given a mission: Stay Alive.
