When war breaks out between the Russian-supported republic of Abkhazia and Georgia in the fall of 1992, the Estonians who called the land home are forced to return to their native land. Two villagers stubbornly remain, Ivo and Margus, dead-set on harvesting their tangerine crop. When the war literally turns up on their doorstep they take in the only two survivors, a Chechen and a Georgian. Declaring the home a diplomatic neutral zone, deadly enemies slowly must learn to co-exist.
