Based on the true story of Thomas Montgomery, a 47-year-old machinist with a troubled marriage who meets a teenage girl online. Thomas tells her that he is an 18-year-old boy on his way to Marine boot camp. Their relationship quickly evolves into cybersex and an engagement. Eventually the truth is revealed and when the young girl embarks on another online relationship with Thomas' co-worker, all three of their real and online lives begin to collide.
