Sweetheart

Heloise is mother to three children. Jade, her youngest, has just turned eighteen and is about to leave home to start university in Canada. As the day of Jade's final high school exams and her inevitable departure fast approaches, and the mixed emotions that this lifechanging event brings to the fore, Heloise starts to recall their shared experiences, which are those of a tender and very close motherdaughter relationship. Her response to her daughter's leaving home is to act as an amateur filmmaker, using her iPhone to record every detail about her daughter lest certain memories evade her later on. Heloise is so desperate to cherish the last moments that they have together that she almost forgets to live in the here and now and to enjoy the intimacy that she has always had with her daughter who she still refers to as "Sweetheart".
