Suzie

Suzie, 58, lost her daughter over twenty years ago when her Moroccan father took her away. Since then, she's lived a solitary life, working nights as a taxi driver. On Halloween night, a young woman leaves a ten-year-old kid in her cab with an address and a fifty-dollar bill. Pulled into the chaos of a family drama, Suzie feels driven to protect this odd child, left behind by parents who can't cope. In a fleeting moment of desperation, she even tries to flee with him. But they don't make it past the airport, as the parents have reported them. With a heavy heart, Suzie hands the child back to his parents, who have since worked through their issues and made up. Left to face her deep loneliness once again, Suzie doesn't suspect that life is about to throw her a major curveball.
