Suite française

Set in a small French town under the German occupation during World War II. After the disastrous defeat of the French army, Lucile Angellier (Michelle Williams) anxiously awaits word from her husband, who has been interned in Germany as a prisoner of war. As refugees from Paris flood into her small town, closely followed by a regiment of German soldiers who take up residence in the villagers' homes, Lucile's life is turned upside down -- and things are complicated even further when a handsome, refined German officer (Matthias Schoenaerts) is billeted in her house.
