Street of Chance

In this, the first noir adapted from the work of Cornell Woolrich, Burgess Meredith stars as Frank Thompson, a man who awakens in an unfamiliar neighborhood suffering from amnesia. Haunted by the need to uncover his lost time, Frank meets a woman who claims to be his fiancée (Trevor) but she knows him by a different name and insists that he is wanted for a murder that he can't remember committing.
