Stranger on Horseback

A circuit judge (Joel McCrea) comes to a small western and finds it under the feudal thumb of an old-line family. Despite wholehearted opposition and obstacles, he smokes out the necessary frightened witnesses and defies the whole clan by seeing that justice is done.
