    Spectacular documentary thrusting Steve McQueen's love of racing on the big screen. But this is not a racing film but the ups and downs and the great amount of time and energy it took to get the film LE MANS off the ground. They had begun principal photography and they still didn't have a working script. This film took a lot out of the sails of Steve. His career is defined as films pre Le Mans and films post Le Mans. The eventual film wasn't even that big a hit! I think McQueen must have been devastated.
