A disgusting piece of animation from start to finish. First of all, no mortal being should have to endure more than 20 to 30 minutes of South Park at any one time. But there is worse! There is no real narrative or storyline to speak of. All we get is a sketch or gag that should last some 15 or 20 minutes yet it is expanded to the max to create a full length anime that therefore never works because all we get is repetition, repetition, repetition. I will admit to using some foul language but this anime over exceeds all bounds of decorum as every second word is a swear word, predominantly the "F_" word. It is a film that is offensive on so many levels one can't list them all.
I'm certainly no prude when it comes to life matters, but one thing I won't tolerate is shoving all this rot in a viewer's face. I simply can't believe so many Clockers gave it such a high score while deserving films, films of real worth are rated as garbage.
    SOUTH PARK is the GARBAGE.

What's so ironic in this piece of trash is that the filmmakers introduce some songs that seem more in line with Disney fare and not this bestial content. If I could, I would rate this insipid, moronic anime a "0" or in a minus score.

I'm not really into South Park, but I'd watch it when it was on. I wasn't sure what to expect from the movie. It's basically a case of switching off your brain and enjoying a ridiculous film that makes you laugh.

I had never seen the series before... so watching the 81 minute movie was quite an experience. It's totally wild and over-the-top. Some of the songs and lines really stuck with me afterwards... yikes. There's no denying it's one of a kind.

This movie is a fantastic adaptation of the series, staying true to its extremely vulgar, raw, and violent nature, but most importantly, it's absolutely hilarious.

I just rewatched this movie for the first time in about 5 years... I had seen it in theaters and rewatched it when I bought the DVD. What a great film, even better than I remembered. I recall when it came out, people complained about there being too many songs, but wow, they're all fantastic without exception. If this film falls into the "musical" category like Moulin Rouge, well, it's a superb one! On top of all that, they crafted a compelling story and included several hilarious jokes. They satirize the United States like in Team America, and I love it! South Park has evolved so much over the past decade, I don't get why they haven't made a sequel...

Movie was very funny, (BUT) If it wasn't a stupid musical the movie would be (MUCH) Better. :)

This movie is truly awful. I'm a South Park fan, but I thought this was just terrible. I had to force myself to watch it all the way through. My brother left after 30 minutes because it was so bad. There's nothing funny about it - normally South Park is crude but hilarious. In this movie, it's even cruder but not funny at all. Plus, the voices are different from the show, which really ruins it. And don't get me started on the constant stupid songs that have nothing to do with anything (which I skipped without hesitation since I rented the movie). Anyway, I did watch the French version, so it's probably a bit better in English. But still, trust me, don't waste your money - just stick to the regular South Park episodes. Enough said.

I had a blast with this movie, just like with the series. When I watched it, I was cringing for the people who are into vulgar films, but if that's your thing, definitely rent it because it's awesome, just like the show. I thought it was hilarious, except for the singing parts, but even those were pretty cool. I had such a great time that I wanted to rewatch it as soon as it was over.

YAY! I love the tv series of south park, but I feel that the movie let me down, I was disappointed for some reason, it just, wasnt as good as the show I guess... well anyway, im still happy u get to see kenny with his hood off for the second time in history (its rare to see me take mine off too) so the movie let me down, still pretty funny though, good songs I guess, but thats about it, go see it if your a south park fan, but I preferably like TEAM AMERICA a lot more. (TEAM AMERICA is my favourite movie of all time along with SHAUN OF THE DEAD) so see it if u want, but im sayin it could be a lot better.

    kevin_fontaine_1@  26.5.2005 age: 13-17 20 reviews

First things first. This movie does not insult Canada. It was Matt and Trey's sneaky backhanded way at insulting Americans. For those of you who thought this movie was immature, crude and full of pointless vulgarity, take note - this movie is one of the most brilliant satires on violence in american culture and television that has ever been produced. This movie gains more relevance as time goes on - notice how CSI, medium, Law and Order SUV have taken tv violence to a whole new level yet Janet Jackson's boob caused a national uproar? The way the 'adults' attack gratuitous swearing with VIOLENCE exposes the complete moral hypocrisy of the US and the total bass ackwardness of the fight for greater censorship. This movie should be hailed for it's social commentary, cutting humour, and the fact that they made it a damn musical to boot is jaw dropping to say the least. I wrote a university paper for my IDS 270 Satire class on this film. Who else could make utter crudeness so relevant and inspiring?

I loved it! I just HATE when that cutie Kenny dies. But he went 2 that erotic heaven in the end (he finally took his hood off + it can also be seen 4 a split second in the beginning) Was his gf Kelly (from the rainforest episode) there 2? I heard sum1 say they saw her in the theater after Mr. Mackey's song + I checked + yeah I did 2. Was she visiting? Was it really her? If it was she'd be sittin by him right? So maybe it was sum1 who looked like her. Anyways it was a cool movie. If it wasn't animated it woulda been rated NC-17 not R so it's NOT 4 kids due 2 it being the most profane animated movie. I even liked the fact that it was a musical.

Despite what the self-righteous groups and other puritanical associations might say, this film is a pure masterpiece. Beyond the swearing and crudeness, which are the hallmarks of South Park, there's a completely different vibe made up of a dash of self-deprecation and a huge helping of biting criticism of all sorts, mercilessly calling out an America that's too full of itself. This electrifying mix might come across as unsettling and disturbing, but that's totally normal - we can't accept reality for what it is. And that's precisely the kind of message that Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the brilliant minds behind the most vulgar yet intelligent show ever, South Park, are trying to get across.

I love South Park, I've loved it since the first 5 minute film I received in an e-mail 10 years ago. But it is most funny in little irreverrent pieces. This film was way too long, it is hard to be so stupid it's funny for an hour and a half. I still like watching the half hour of rudeness each week, but not this.

South Park is a great film that really sets itself apart from the TV show, largely due to the catchy songs that make you want to rewatch it over and over. One minor issue: the French dub uses Quebecois French, which may be jarring for those accustomed to the original voices from the South Park series.

I must have Seen South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut more than 200 times. Every time I watch it I crack up more and more. The soundtrack is killer. The songs like. Kyle's mom's a bitch, and sings it in different languages has to be the funniest song in the world. Believe it or not, the movie sends a good message that "we can all be friends if we just trust each other." And making Satan gay, that had to be the best idea yet. All I can say for South Park is."It's Super!! Thanks for Asking!!! I watch the shows religiously and I can't wait for the movie South Park 2. Also I can't wait to own the complete second season on DVD. Trey and Matt. YOU ROCK!!! I love you guys. I wouldn't mind being your Natasha Henstridge!! And Isaac you go man. You are my boy..

South Park is a great series - Kenny's always dying, and Cartman's constantly saying "screw you guys, I'm going home." I love the "Bloody Fish" parallel world episode where Cartman is nice and Kenny's rich.

Hilarious!!! On top of that, this movie is a genuine critique of society. Something as minor as a film's rating leads to bringing out the big guns. I adore the show, and the film is to die for. You'd have to be a real prude not to love these 4 naughty kids.

Behind all the crude humor that amuses young kids, there's actually a sharp, cutting critique of society, especially obese and corrupt Americans. But since my English isn't great, I only understood about half the jokes (the dirty ones, which isn't too bad). I was pretty shocked by all the swearing (though I guess I should've expected it), and the music was really grating (even more than Saddam's...you know). Still, I laughed a lot, even if I was sometimes ashamed to be laughing at such stupid, gross humor! Oh well. Bring it on, kill Kenny, South Park rules! I think it's mainly a movie for rebellious types. I'm giving it a middling rating because it made me laugh about ten times and I'm a good sport. (I don't really like it though - the animation is crude and I don't agree with the cynical worldview. I think Americans are nicer than that and don't deserve the bashing.)

This movie is a blast, although the profanity can be a bit excessive and unnecessary at times. The numerous musical numbers are also a bit unfortunate. However, the satire and critique of American society is spot-on and excellent!

I found the movie a little disappointing, as I expected it to be an improvement over the TV episodes. The humor fell flat compared to the series, there were too many musical numbers for my liking, and the vulgar content was excessive considering the children in the audience.

There are about 5 or 6 funny jokes in the film, but the rest is terrible. If you enjoy the series and find it amusing, you'll probably like the movie too. However, if you can't stand the series, you'll definitely hate this as well. For those who do enjoy it, maybe it's time to grow up a bit. The movie also features some really dull and uninspired songs.
