Sleuth

In 1837, in lower Canada, the discontent of French Canadians against what they consider as English oppression is boiling over. Patriots by the handful band together to rebel against the English occupants. One of them, Simon de Bellefeuille, is in love with Julie Lambert. In order to escape the rebellion, the couple decides to flee the country, but as they reach the American border, they start having guilt feelings. They will turn back.
