Sentinelle

François Sentinelle leads a double life. During the day, he is the most prominent police officer on the Island of Réunion, known for his forceful methods and his floral shirts, chasing criminals aboard his famous yellow defender. But outside of work hours (and often during), Sentinelle has another profession: a charming singer. All Réunion Island residents have danced to "Le Kiki," his youthful hit that's now a bit embarrassing. For the past fifteen years, he has been trying to recapture success by preparing a new album... without success. But Sentinelle doesn't want to choose between the police and music. While he remains engrossed in his concerts and the release of his album, a wave of violent crimes shakes the island. A local elite figure is kidnapped, another is murdered. For any cop, this would be a case of a lifetime. But Sentinelle, consumed by his music, isn't really in the mindset to investigate.
