A thousand miles of danger, a thousand thrills a mile! Screen heartthrob Errol Flynn and former U.S. President Ronald Reagan star as towering figures of U.S. history and romantic rivals Jeb Stuart and General George Armstrong Custer, both vying for the affection of Kit Carson Holliday (Olivia de Havilland). Meanwhile, abolitionist John Brown (Raymond Massey) is waging a war against slavery in Kansas, and when Flynn and Reagan are transferred to the local Army regiment, their involvement in the conflict is imminent -- as a final bloody confrontation between Brown and the Army waits.
