An uneducated, unemployed slacker, Ronnie Dobbs (David Cross) spends his days in the small Georgia town of Doraville drinking beer and terrorizing its residents. Ronnie's life does a 180 degree turn when TV producer Terry Twillstein discovers him after witnessing one of Ronnie's many arrests on a "Cops" style show. As Ronnie becomes a mega-star, both he and Terry Twillstein use their wit, ingenuity and audacity to get what they want -- one a lost love and the other a hit TV show.
