Run of the Arrow

A Confederate soldier (Steiger) refuses to surrender and accept defeat at the end of the Civil War. Instead, he renounces everything, travels west, and joins the Sioux tribe. Later, he is forced to pick sides when the US Army builds a fort nearby and fighting breaks out between the Army and the Sioux. A fascinating, complex study of national and personal identity.
