Richard III

Besides directing the film, Laurence Olivier also plays Shakespeare's great villainous king, who says from the get-go that he is "determined to prove a villain" -- and he does it. Olivier gives the film a full big-screen, Technicolor treatment and brings in some of England's greatest actors of the time -- Ralph Richardson, John Gielgud and Claire Bloom -- to pull it off.
