Red Satin

Middle-aged and recently widowed, Lilia (Hiam Abbass) leads an ordinary life in contemporary Tunisia. With only an uninterested teenage daughter and the monotony of housework to fill her days, Lilia's world feels claustrophobically small. When she attends her daughter's dance class, she is struck by the instructor, and later follows him to a belly-dancing cabaret, where her world radically opens up.
