Project Hail Mary

In the near future, junior high school-teacher-turned-astronaut Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) awakens from a coma with amnesia aboard a spacecraft. As his memory slowly returns, he recalls his mission to the Tau Ceti solar system, located 12 light-years from Earth, where he must discover a way to reverse a solar dimming event threatening humanity's extinction.
