Exploring their own differences in skin color and their experiences as filmmakers, Rosine Mbakam from Cameroon and Eléonore Yameogo from Burkina Faso join Belgian An van. Dienderen to address the legacy of racism inherent in photographic, and even digital, technology. Deconstructing the objectivity of the camera, the film consists of three sections, one by each of the directors, along with recorded Zoom conversations between them about the personal, cultural, and historical ramifications of lighting calibrated for white skin in Western filmmaking.
