Pixinguinha, an Affectionate Man

The life and work of Alfredo da Rocha Vianna Filho (1897-1973), a black boy from a lower middle class background, is recounted from his first memorable flute concerts, the composition of his many masterpieces, including the most famous "Carinhoso", his six-month stay in Paris in 1922 with the success of his group Os Oito Batutas, the ups and downs of his career, until his death in a church in Rio de Janeiro during the parade of the traditional carnival group 'Banda de Ipanema'.
