Ping Pong Summer

Rad is a 13-year-old boy in 1985, and he is about to experience a life-changing summer. Shy and awkward, Rad has two primary passions: hip-hop and ping pong. Most people don't understand the love that he has for these pursuits, but on a family trip to Ocean City, MD, he meets more than one kindred spirit, and they open up the possibilities of the beauty that life can offer to a person who is willing to go after his dreams. Rad comes from a close-knit family, and they spend a lot of time together, but this summer is largely about him making an identity for himself apart from them. From making a true blue best friend to falling in love, he begins to live independently.
