Info
William and Madeleine live at the base of the mountains. They have been married for a long time, are faithful and still in love; they have a perfectly organised life. When their only daughter leaves for Italy to start a life of her own there, the only thing that remains to be done is to take care of each other. When out on a walk in the surrounding hills, as she often does, Madeleine puts up her easel in front of an old house and thus meets Adam, a fine and cultured gentleman who is blind. He lets her visit the house she is painting; it is for sale. Lightning strikes and William and Madeleine buy the house on the spot. They weeks immediately after the sale, William and Madeleine go through a period of bliss. Their new life organises itself with Adam and his young girlfriend Eva, who live around the corner. The day that the house of their new friends is lost in a fire, it is only natural that they would want to have them stay at their place...
