In 1995, after coming back from a peacekeeping mission in Croatia, Captain Sandra Perron - Canada's first female infantry officer - rocks the military world by resigning. Soon after, a shocking photo emerges, showing her tied to a tree, unconscious, and in uniform. The media goes into overdrive, the army starts an investigation, and Sandra must face her most buried traumas. Unwilling to label herself a victim, she decides to speak up, exposing the harsh toll of duty and the quiet wars she waged against sexism and hostility in the ranks. Based on a true story, Out Standing is a powerful story of bravery, strength, and honesty, driven by a woman who wouldn't stay silent.
