This modern day Romeo and Juliet tells the story of forbidden love between Serena (Anderson), a young Christian gospel Singer and pastor's daughter who falls in love with Kassa (Marley), a Rastafarian, Reggae songwriter despite her engagement to Aaron (Elba). Brought together through their mutual love of music, One Love embraces the power of music and love to overcome cultural and religious differences.
