An ulterior motive lurks beneath the Sheriff's badge in the unsuspecting small town still recovering from the Civil War. Mitch, a Confederate veteran, plots revenge after his wife's senseless death. By wheedling his way into the town's good graces, Mitch becomes sheriff and slowly but surely begins to exact vengeance.
